NSW Premier Nathan Rees has recently given approval for a V8 Supercar race to be held at Sydney Olympic Park for 5 years. We object to these propositions for a number of reasons;

  • Permanent damage to the park and to its world class reputation as an ecologically sustainable precinct

  • Huge disruption to Park use and road closures for up to ten weeks from annual installation and disassembly

  • Some $90 million of tax payers money to be spent on this folly

We have recently received answers from The Homebush Motor Racing Authority to our questions and concerns regarding the race to be held for the first time in December, 2009. You can read our questions and HMRA's responses in the news section on the menu.

Your help is needed to stop this lunacy! You can join us in trying to prevent these races by attending our action meetings or by keeping informed of issues and writing letters and emailing relevant government ministers, Homebush Motor Racing Authority and SOPA.
